OUR HISTORY
OUR ORIGINAL HEAD HOUSE SQUARE LOCATION
Koffmeyer’s Old Fashioned Cookies is a Philadelphia tradition for over forty years. In 1978, Koffmeyer’s opened its very first shop in New Market Square on Front Street in Philadelphia’s Society Hill Section. Our mission was to provide the finest all-natural old fashioned cookies available at a reasonable price with the best possible customer service.
In 1979, while New Market was undergoing a major change, Koffmeyer’s made the move to its location on Second Street at Lombard on the famous Head House Square. For over twenty years we welcomed customers to our old-fashioned cookie store in the heart of Society Hill. We became the place to go and be seen during your visit to the Head House Square and South Street area of Philadelphia. Customers kept coming back year after year for our friendly service and our delicious cookies.
In the summer of 2011 we recreated that same old-fashioned cookie store in Havertown, Pennsylvania. We have added Leiby’s Premium Ice Cream to our shop to create the ultimate dessert experience. Whether you are looking for a special treat on a weekend or an ice cream cone, milkshake or sundae any day or night of the week, Koffmeyer’s will continue to provide great customer service and mouth-watering delights seven days a week. All of our bakery products are still made and baked on the premises daily.
Find out why Koffmeyer’s has been the Philadelphia area’s most popular cookie bakery and ice cream store for over forty years. Visit or call us soon and decide whether it’s polite to tell a friend about Koffmeyer’s with your mouth full!
